When I bought our 320 last year, one of my 4D batteries was "toast" (cells had been allowed to dry out and it wouldn't hold a charge), but the previous owner had replaced the other battery very recently and it was fine.  Upon the recommendation/experience of another local friend with a 320, I purchased this comparable battery for $165 (now $192) from NAPA auto parts https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBP7266 .  This battery has been great ….. and much less expensive than others discussed on this topic.
Although it appeared to be working ok (although very hot), I just replaced my boat's original NewMar 50 amp battery charger with this "smart" 40 amp ProNauticP charger for $313 https://www.amazon.com/ProMariner-63140-ProNauticP-12-Volts-Battery/dp/B004NPOT4G#customerReviews and this remote monitor for $73 https://www.amazon.com/ProMariner-63100-ProNautic-Display-Battery/dp/B009PIR0EW/ref=pd_bxgy_200_2/140-1791473-6856910?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B009PIR0EW&pd_rd_r=6YATJSBP7NBVTKN7NQHK&pd_rd_w=pNhMI&pd_rd_wg=yDBvF&psc=1&refRID=6YATJSBP7NBVTKN7NQHK  So, my battery system is much better protected.
