If you have a gas grill, it works the same. ¾” wrench or adjustable wrench will remove the regulator fitting, no tape. Gas fittings are the reverse of normal threads…turn clockwise to loosen, counter clockwise to tighten…leftie tightie, rightie loosie…

You are correct, gas should not have leaked out. After you replace the gas bottle, open the valve first without turning on the gas solenoid and check all fitting between the tank and the solenoid with soapy water. Tighten any fittings with bubbles forming. After that, turn on the solenoid and check all fittings from there to the stove.

Never leave your solenoid on when the stove isn’t in use and it’s a good rule for the tank valve as well.

Subject: [C320-list] Propane tank

Came to the boat and left my propane tank open.

The tank is now empty.

How do you remove the tank and does it need to be recertify?

The gas should not have leaked out. What should I replace while I have the tank out?

Are the threads just wrapped with plumbers tape?
