Hi.

You can find rebuild guides on you tube.

or google rebuild a Yanmar sea water pump for lots of info. Looks like kits are available from yanmar of you could pull yours apart and get the bearing and seal numbers off the pieces and order them from a bearing supply house.

Good Luck

You need to rebuild or replace the seawater pump. The former is not too hard and the later is expensive. Do it soon as it is telling you now that it is going to fail soon. This leak is a nice advance warning system. Take it out first and you can then shop it around for some service business to rebuild it. That’s what I did.

Hi,
I am having problems with my raw water pump leaking on my Yanmar diesel. I have replaced the impeller twice as well as the o ring and gasket and the out going tubing and it is still dripping. Is anyone aware of a bearing or seal that the impeller shaft sets in that could be in need or replacement and if so how difficult that would be?
