[C320-list] Splice CT-100 radio cable

I purchased a Standard Horizon GX1700 second station mic and 23 feet extension cable.

Can you cut this cable, run the cable down the piping at the wheel and put a connector in the cable?

Would this be a PL259 connector?(male and female)
