Hey Ian,
Jeff up here in Punta Gorda. I used TA diesels for my Perkins stuff when
I had my 320. Just "Google" TAdiesels. I think they were out of Virginia
but not sure. They were very knowledgeable and always great service.
Good luck,
Jeff

Subject: [C320-list] Technical contact for Perkins Engine
For unrelated reasons, I ended up leaving my c320 (1993 "Wind Star" #18) for
many, many months without any loving attention including NOT starting the
engine regularly. When I finally did this I found that my Perkins Perama
M30 had seized something internally and was backfiring on one of the
cylinders every revolution. A diesel knowledgeable friend took a look and
found that one of the con-rods had bent and we need a new one (and gaskets
etc.)
I looked at Perkins web-site (and some other sources) for parts
information, but just found it all very confusing (for one thing they are
based in the UK).
So, my question to the group: Does anyone have good experiences of a
US-based Perkins small diesel expert who I could contact and get help to
find all the identification codes I need from the engine and then source the
required parts and information for me.
Thanks in advance ---- Ian Davis --- Cape Coral - Florida.
