John,

My first thought was that I would be worried about damaging the mounting surface for the new ports. The new ports rely on an adhesive holding them on. The spring 2018 issue of the Mainsheet has an article on the "Stationary Salon Windows Replacement Procedure Summary". The author Dave Hupe, and the boat is a 1994 Catalina 320 (Hull #32).

Subject: [C320-list] OSCILLATING MULTI TOOL

I’m about to remove the fixed port lights on my boat and was wondering whether anyone has done this with one of these oscillating tools? I believe that attacking this from the inside, a thin cutting blade could work between the glass and the hull cut the adhesive to get the old glass out. Should also work well in getting the old caulking off the boat.
Cheers
