[C320-list] NAVPOD VENTILATION

I have a NAVPOD at the helm with a Garmin chart plotter installed. During the heat of the summer the chart plotter shuts itself off due ,I think, to overheating. The side of the chart plotter with all of the buttons gets very warm. I’m thinking of drilling some holes in the top and bottom of the NAVPOD to allow some convection ventilation. Anyone have experience with this?
