[C320-list] Using salt water for the head

My two pennies worth (no cents or nickels in U.K.)
The originally fitted sanitation hoses do become permeable to odour with age and replacing those on older boats with modern ones may well help with odour issues

Has anyone ever explored the possibility of adding a carbon filter into the holding tank vent line. This is something that is often done on installations for remote houses that aren’t connected to the main sewage and drainage systems.

Anchoring, and under way I use seawater. The only thing necessary when using fresh (sink valve) water is not turn the valve on the head to water (keep it on dry). This method means I don’t have to open and close any seacocks. And yes in my experience a holding tank with seawater creates much more odour than one with fresh water.

So we’ve always just used the shower head from the sink to flush the toilet using fresh water. Is this true or urban legend?
