[C320-list] C320-list Digest, Vol 3310, Issue 1

Thanks for the info on the PHRF ratings. My C320 has a rating of 171 I am always at the back of the pack. The other boats in my class are super fast and I think the rating is too high. I totally admit my skippering and occasional spinnaker snafu's contribute but I just can't get her to point as high as the other boats. Any thoughts on how to pinch up higher without sacrificing speed?

I agree with Chris about rounding up. We rounded up twice in last Saturday's race in about 12 knots of wind and she totally got away from me. We finished the race with the main further out and the crew as rail meat at the fattest part of the beam which helped.

Yes it's fun even though we aren't competitive!

Also, regarding the heat exchanger/overflow issue - I'll try adding coolant to the overflow tank and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion about air in the system. The engine seemed hotter than normal and for a longer period of time after she was shut off. If there is air in the system how do you get it out?
