[C320-list] Push Button Circuit Breaker

Dave,

My apologies, and my fault. When I read your original answer, I thought you were only referring to the DC ground that comes out of the right side of the case. That is what I thought you connected to the negative battery terminal. This was reinforced because I have seen some installations that do not connect the ground on the chassis. In fact, I was hoping someone would come back and tell me the chassis ground is not necessary. I say this because my charger will be installed in my aft port locker, but my batteries are under my starboard settee. Additionally, I do have a common ground connection under the port settee, but I was trying to prevent running an additional wire. Presumably I could run the wire behind the cabinets in the galley, which is where I ran my new GPS cable.

I did read your answer, which is why I have the charger I did. I just misunderstood it. Thanks again,

     Jeff-
I left my new 40 amp charger (same as you got) on the existing 10 amp push button breaker and have had no problems (part of my justification is that my original 50 amp charger was on the same 10 amp breaker). However, if you feel better, I doubt you would have problems getting and installing a bigger push button breaker in the same electric panel hole.
You asked previously regarding the Promariner Pronautic 1240P charger (and I answered) that I ran a separate battery cable from the left side case ground (DC) to my closest negative battery terminal (same place that the ground runs to from the DC ground on the charger bottom (not to be confused with the AC connections).
