[C320-list] Replace Lift Pump?

I just replaced the lift pump.   There is an article now on the C320 site
the explains the process I went through.   My pump was leaking oil at the
seal between the pump and engine.   Given the price of the pump, it didn’t
make sense to replace the gasket and not replace the pump.   The old pump
was still working ok, but I did notice that the new pump works a lot
better.   There is a cam on the camshaft that actuates the pump lever as
the engine is running.  The pump is a simple diaphragm pump.  The diaphragm
is a rubber material.  If the diaphragm  fails it will pump fuel into the
valve train. It felt like replacing the pump was a good PM move to me.
