[C320-list] running wires from pedestal to panel

I ran my wires for my new chartplotter down the pedestal guard and up through the port lazarette. I then pulled it through behind my cabinets in the galley. It has been a couple of years, but I think the only difficulty was getting it to exit at the electrical panel. After that, I pulled it to my breaker switch panel that has all of my navigation electronics on it. As an aside, I pigtailed the new chartplotter into the old GPS wire, so I could get the old GPS as a form of redundancy.

Good luck,

You will have to take the bedding out of the aft cabin.

Then run the wire down and follow the white vent hose. You can use the harbour freight wire tool. Mine came in 1 foot fibreglass sections that screw together.

Next take out the small shelf under the stove.

Take out the cabinet under the sink.

Now push the wire up to the hot water tank.

Next open the electrical panel. Be careful and shot off all power. Push the wire feeder down with a string attached. On an angle point aft. It will come out behind the hot water tank. Hard to get but I did it. Then attach string and pull wire up and over to the GPS.

If you have lots of cable go down the front of the hot water tank and into to port cabin locker. From there up into the electrical panel. Easier route but I had limited cable. This is by far the best route.

Might be easier to explain over the phone. You can call me if you like.

I will be at my boat in 40 minutes.
