Jerry, I replaced my entire original incandescent fixture with the
Marinebeam N1-225-CMB steaming/deck light when my mast was down a couple of
years ago. Admittedly, replacing the fixture was easier with the mast
horizontal on the hard, but could also possibly be done from a bosun's
chair. A couple of new holes will need to be drilled/tapped for mounting
and the pigtail fixture wires will need to be butt spliced/sealed/strain
relieved to the hopefully-long-enough mast wires (and I can't speak to this
since I also rewired my mast when down).
As I re-read my response, I see I did nothing to answer your original
question, sorry. However, I am very pleased with my new steaming/deck
light and would recommend it for anyone when the time is right.
