Bruce,
I have. For both that locker and the forward locker on our 2007 C320 Mark II. My boat also had/has sticky gelcoat within some of these lockers. My inquiry into Catalina suggested that the gelcoat never cured all the way. We use hooks for most things requiring hanging and these two hanging locker conversions to shelves has been a great upgrade to the boat.
So, for the aft cabin locker, I bonded wood strip “cleats” to the hull with 3M 5200 and used some finished thin veneer with stainless steel finished screws to install the curved wood plywood veneer. Then I installed finished teak wood shelf cleats in a similar fashion to install 2 large shelves with finished teak edges (lips) to keep the items on the shelf from falling out. The locker now holds a lot more folded clothing and towels in a much tidier fashion. Same with our forward hanging locker, but for that one I installed adjustable shelf tracks on either side of the locker so the two finished shelves that I fabricated are height adjustable.
All of the measurements were templated with cardboard and then I fabricated and finished the wood pieces in my garage. You can see the forward locker finished pictures on my Owners Gallery photos within our C320IA website. There is a photo of our aft locker with the hull side veneer installed, but this was before I installed the fixed shelves. Again, we fold and story our clothes within these now shelved cabinets. We also use several small mesh hammocks Hugh high and out of the way around the aft cabin and also such high from stainless hooks along each side of the v berth to store additional towels, clothes and other soft good out of the way.
There are a lot of other improvements photos in my Owners Gallery.

It was a great upgrade. Highly recommended!
