Interesting, our AB fridge draws just over 4A when running.  6 seems pretty
high, but maybe it's due to the age of the compressor.

I have just purchased a Nova Cool unit with the RT6 freezer box  and will be
installing it during spring launch. I helped a fellow sailor install one in
his boat (Not a Catalina) last year with the same RT6 freezer box.The unit
performs very well. The Nova Cool has 3 running settings, and I believe the
lowest one draws 3 amps, but takes a bit longer to obtain a unit of cooling.
Way below the 6amps the Adler Barbour draws!
