[C320-list] Fresh Water Engine Flush

Hi Bob:
I live in Florida, too, and I've never heard that recommendation for a freshwater-cooled diesel.

On outboards, yes, and on raw-water diesels, regular flushing can be good, but is not absolutely required. Certainly not every two weeks for a diesel.

I imagine saltwater can have adverse effects on your heat exchanger over many years time, but I haven't seen it in 11 years of owning freshwater-cooled diesels.

The only freshwater flushing I do is when I head up a river.
