[C320-list] New Battery Charger?

I second the recommendation. I did have to drill a few new holes because this charger is more narrow than the Newmar charger I replaced. Also, the Pronautic accepts a higher AWG (I think it is either 12 or 14 AWG), so I had to splice my (6 or 8 AWG - can’t recall) to make that connection. I soldered the connection, which you are not supposed to do. The recommendation is to use ring terminals and a terminal block. All of this is in the port lazarette.

Hope this helps. The installation is fairly straightforward.

David,I replaced my charger with a 1230P and it was straight forward. Pull the inline fuses, check for voltage on existing cables at the charger, label the cables, remove the old unit, install the new charger, cable up and test.

Subject: [C320-list] New Battery Charger?

I’m looking for a bit of reassurance. I am getting ready to replace the battery charger on my C320, and after doing some research, I have just about settled on the ProMariner ProNautic 1240P 40 Amp <https://www.amazon.com/ProMariner-ProNautic-1240P-Battery-Charger/dp/B00MYSZL2I?ref_=ast_bbp_dp> charger. It’s a three-bank charger, and I have two dual-purpose (start and house) sealed batteries on a Off-1-2-Both switch. Battery drain is relatively light; nav system and refrigerator (occasionally).

— Any reason not to use this charger?
— Any tricks to connecting it?

Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
