[C320-list] The value of the C320 International Association

Hey folks,

I've joined a couple of groups on Facebook that represent 320 owners and
Catalina owners in general.  Those are nice, friendly groups with lots
of pictures.  Many of you are also members of those groups.

However, I just want to reiterate that the Catalina 320 International
Association, with its email list, web site, library of technical
articles, and subscription to the Mainsheet magazine are invaluable.
Worth much, much more than the annual membership fee.

There are many people on the list who are just waiting to jump in and
offer help on so many subjects that can be really specific to the 320,
or even particular model years or hull numbers.  For many of us who do
not have decent marine services in our area and are forced to do
everything themselves, we just really could not get along without this
community.

While I'm at it, I want to send a big "Thank You" to Kenneth Bousum, one
of our members.  I posted an plea for guidance on a handheld remote for
my VHF that is no longer in production or support.  I got plenty of
feedback from others, but Kenneth really stepped up.  He sold me his
remote, which he had not been using. He did not have to, and he probably
could have sold it for more on eBay.  But, he sold it to a fellow 320
owner.  He saved me a ton of rewiring work that I would have had to do
otherwise.  He is a great example of how sailors, in general, and 320
owners, in particular, take care of one another.

So, don't be shy.  If there is an email that you can add something to,
let 'er rip.  Don't sit on the sidelines.
