[C320-list] running rigging recommendations

As long as you’re not a racer, all line of the proper size from a reputable marine manufacturer is good. That means no “deals” from Wal-Mart, Home Depot or a nameless overseas manufacturer on Amazon.

The main issue is stretch. Top quality (and expensive) racing line has very little of that. The less expensive cruising line might require you to give a halyard a crank or two in strong winds, but that’s about it.

Running rigging lasts so long that it’s not worthwhile to sweat a couple of bucks. When I bought my 1998 320, most of the running rigging was original! I replaced it, and I don’t expect to have to do it again unless there is a chafing mishap somewhere along the way.
