[C320-list] ANCHOR CHAIN WELL DRAIN

Awhile back, there was a case described where the anchor well drain hose, came loose/broke and the boat started to take on water. I do not currently have access to my boat, so can someone describe to me how I can check the hose? What is it, clamped on vinyl?
As I recall on my boat, water in the chain locker drains out a hole in the bottom of the locker and exits out a thru hull about a foot behind the chain locker drain hole.
