Dave,
my fuel gauge too has never worked since owning, I have a 1994 #138 with a
Perkins M30 with a fin keep, I cruise at about 2500 rpm, keep very precise
logs of fuel and engine hours, and I'm burning about 0.36~0.40 gallons per
hour, close to on par with you, given I'm running just a hair rpm lower.
