[C320-list] E-T-A circuit breaker for Anchor Windlass - Push-Pull Actuator?

The circuit breaker is where it is because Catalina wired it directly to
the forward battery. Putting the breaker in that location minimizes the
run of wire from just the breaker up to the windlass...call it ten feet I
reckon. IF they did it “the anticipated way” they would have had to run a
wire from where the combine switch is generally located. On my hull
that’s forward of the galley on the port side. Bigger run which may have
even required an even bigger (lower gauge) wire.

This is something you need to pay attention to if you take an extended
anchoring cruise with the OEM wiring because IF you are using the aft
battery for your house bank at anchor and forget to switch to BOTH when
using the engine, then use of the windlass could be draining your forward
battery and you will not have it in reserve when you need it. Having said
that, if you have the factory configuration it’s probably wise to just run
off the forward bank as your house and use the windlass only when the
engine is running. This avoids needing to throw the BOTH switch every day.
