Yes that is correct. I redid my forward water fill fitting last year the same way. However I will caution you that the screws are only self-tapping screws, so you'll want to be careful about overtightening them, which could strip the holes and cause you other issues.

Additionally, you'll probably need to tighten them a few times over the next couple months, because the Butyl never really hardens. And you'll occasionally need to clean up the butyl that oozes out around the fitting until everything seats properly.
