Dave,
Yes it was about quarter size... but I have done similar repairs up to
about 6 inches in diameter/square...bigger than that, and it becomes
easier to simply make a mold out of silicon and feather the joint with a
rasp. The material is easy to work after it has kicked, but hasn't yet
hardened.
