The plug on that hose on my boat has a metal clip on it. To remove the plug, I unsnapped the metal clip on the hose and used an Allen wrench to turn the plug. It was not threaded, it just backed out once the wrench was turned counter clockwise. I think that turning the allen wrench socket expands or contracts the size of the plug . I would recommend replacing the metal clamp with a threaded clamp. Hope that helps

My biggest question has to do with the YM model. There’s a drain plug in the bottom of fresh water hose coming off the heat exchanger going to the fresh water pump. (The GM model apparently doesn’t have this same hose with the drain plug in it.) I can’t figure out how to get the drain plug out of it. Some say 2.5mm Allen wrench. Some say that doesn’t work. I’m going to head up to Boatswains Locker sometime and ask them.
