[C320-list] Routing depth transducer cable

 I often get erroneous shallow depth measurements and alarms when in shallower water, obviously due to silt kicked up by other boats and when I reverse to slow myself down entering my slip (kicking silt forward toward my transducer).  
My transducer face doesn't seem badly scratched up, but it is slightly hazed. I wonder if I could try to polish it slightly with a plastic restorer ????
