[C320-list] Shaft strut questions

In case someone else thinks they have leakage at the bolts holding the strut in place I want to share my findings. What I was seeing was not a salt deposit. I brushed it off with a small stainless steel brush. There was absolutely no signs of rust staining. The brushed off powder did not have a salty taste. I put one of the bigger pieces in water and it did not dissolve. Evidently Catalina sprayed gel coat over the bolts, nuts and fiberglass and it stayed white while the surrounding area turned a little yellowish since 1995. The white really looked like a salt residue.
