[C320-list] Intermittent list emails - and a NEW TOPIC TOILET RELATED!

Of course, the problem with Facebook is that many people choose not to be part of it because of the way it operates in regard to privacy, etc.

It’s a messy situation. I used to be the webmaster for the Bristol owners web site. Someone else ran the Google email list. It all went to hell when someone started a Facebook group and worked hard to get everyone to move over there so he could be in charge.

Some moved. Some didn’t. The group split and everyone suffered. I sold my Bristol and said anyone could use the articles on the web site, but that I would no longer fund it. The result was a new, crappy web site and two underused email lists.

I fear that’s what’s happening here. Platform issues shouldn’t divide the 320 owners.

There are obviously many other options available, and I do no appreciate the Snarky response to looking at options. The 320 website is a great asset but is has become hard to use. I actually fine the Facebook 320 group very responsive, If the C320 list is to survive it needs to become easier and ... less snarky.

David
Online Bulletin board type forums are off the shelf and take minutes to set up. I’m More than happy to do so. (And have done for other associations) However there is no point doing that work until there is agreement that this is the way forward. To be frank, your remarks don’t help us progress and stifle debate as people become afraid to voice an opinion or make a suggestion Graeme

Every year, voting opens up for people to get elected to the board to help but hardly anyone steps up. It’s all volunteer work….. appreciate what we have until someone DOES volunteer to do the work….and it’s a bit of work.
