Hi David,

This Mike really appreciates this mailing list.  It is so much more
convenient to deal with messages all in one mail client rather
than it would be to have to fiddle around with a sailing bulletin
board and a gardening bulletin board and sundry different work related
forums.

I know from personal experience how much more difficult it has become
to manage mailing lists as the likes of Google keep pushing new
standards to smoothe the way for their spying ads while making it
ever more difficult for alternatives.

I'm open to new and better ideas but until one comes along I'm very
grateful to those who manage and administer this list.
