I see your point. Mind you all the extra gear you will store in the new locker could offset the weight saving somewhat  ;-)

I guess the ultimate for you would be to also swap the large lead acid batteries for LiFe  - half the volume and even better for weight for the same capacity - free up another locker and then running an induction job would be a snap.
