[C320-list] Is it or isn't it time for a new avenue

We had a member in our cruising club who sailed a 50-foot sharpie until 83 or so and ran a large Hattaras until he was 88. Finally, he had to swallow the anchor when his knees gave out and he could no longer get off and on a boat.

When anyone asked him his secret to longevity, he would say: “Don’t let the old man in.” He didn’t for many, many years.

I’m approaching 70, but hope to have many years left. I just survived a week of skiing at Copper Mountain in Colorado, which is pretty good considering that I have always been a lousy to mediocre skier. If I can get down a blue run, I can sail my 320 …
