[C320-list] Fridge condensate

If you have a packing gland, you will always get some water from the drips as the shaft turns.

On my boat, some of this will end up In the catch basin under the diesel and some will migrate to the bilge.

The dripless systems hold some appeal, but I've always been intimidated by stories of how some of them fail suddenly.

The newer boats have the drain plumbed to the shower sump pump via a y valve. On the other hand I’ve never understood the obsession with a dry bilge. Mine always has a bit of water from who knows where. As long as I don’t have to pump it frequently it’s no bother.
