[C320-list] Stanchions

They are straight when they leave the factory. However, they are fairly easy to bend and tend to get an inward slant over time from enthusiastic dockside helpers when you come in a little hot. If they are all at a consistent angle, you might consider leaving them alone because repeated bending of stainless steel will quickly work harden it and they can break. I had one that was bent and looked odd, so I straightened it with no ill effect, but after that anyone who grabbed a stanchion at the dock got an ear full.
Fair winds,

Interesting, I'm buying hull #451 and that the stanchions were bent in was on the survey report, though noted as structurally fine. The surveyor thought the PO's racing crew may have leaned on the lifelines a bit, but maybe that the way they are built? Not near the boat so can't take pics, unfortunately.

Hi
Would anyone be able to take some photos of the base of the
stanchions, also are they straight or are they slightly inwards?
Safe sailing
