[C320-list] Hot Water Pressure at a trickle

Troy - I cannot remember which side the valve was on but I do know that as soon as it was removed, the hot water flowed. Maybe it was installed on the wrong side. Love the idea of a single mixing valve and want to replace my two handle faucet. The boat slightly lists to port and the faucet has a trickle leak which ends up pooling on the port side. I've gotten used to putting a t-towel on the port side of the faucet to catch the trickle. No amount of tightening or plumbers tape works so it's time for a new one.

I wonder if a previous owner somehow accidentally installed it backward on the outlet side of the hot water heater after bypassing for winterizing. The purpose of the check valve is to prevent hot water from backing up into the cold water lines. I’m not really convinced it’s necessary.

I was so shocked that Hull#514 had the original faucet it was the first thing I replaced.
