[C320-list] Water lift muffler

Sorry to impose, but are you sure it's the aqua lift muffler and not the mixing elbow on the end of the heat exchanger where raw coolant water re-enters the exhaust on the way to the muffler?

The muffler on my 1995 C320 is leaking into the boat, filling the bilge with messy sooty exhaust. Should I repair (and if so, how?) or replace ? Which brand have folks used?
