I attach the topping lift on the end - aft of the boom. I can then adjust
the hard vang that comes with the in-furling rig.
By the way do not have the main halyard too tight since this causes too much
friction and causes the furling operation to use too much effort. After the
sail is out I tighten the main.
If you are not sailing it is good to alleviate pressure on both halyards a
bit, thus saving on the shives at the top of the mast.
P.S. If you have a furling main you might try in lite air releasing the out
hall some. I find that I can create sort of a main chute. This helps alot.
PLEASE SEND YOU REGATTA REGISTRATIONS.
Cheers,
Dick Walker

Subject: [C320-list] InMast Furling and Running Rigging
Those with Inmast Furling rig may have an answer to my problem.
I have a new C320. Hull 1084, and I need to ask this knowledge base for
some helpful suggestions...
============
The commissioning has left the Topping Lift doubled over the Halyard Block
(at the Mast Collar).
The normal mast situation has a Cleat attached to the Mast ... due to the
Inmast Furling the attachment of a cleat to the mast may not be possible.

Thanks in advance

PS I am speaking to my Sydney Australia Agent about this. However I hold
this forum in VERY High Regard and do hope for some helpfull suggestions ...
thanks ALL).
