[C320-list] Temperature gauge

The temperature gauge on my 320 (#74) doesn't seem to be working.  (it recently stopped).  I haven't found any loose wires.  What else should I be checking?

I am about to change the big hose on the freshwater radiator on my Perkins engine.  I know I need to drain the system to do this.  When I refill the radiator, is it necessary to clear any air locks?
