[C320-list] Raw water pump

Looks like my raw water pump is dripping in the front and needs to be
replaced. I have the yanmar 3GM30 Japanese engine. Does anyone know
the make and model number of the pump and the best place to purchase it?
Also is there a trick to removing the two hoses attached to the pump? I
have replaced the impeller many times but never the pump itself.

A Catalina 30 owner who also re-powers boats with diesel engines
reccomended a product called Stanadyne to be added to diesel fuel to add
lubricity. The diesel repair shop where I bought it said that all diesel
engines should be using this as an additive. They make one that is
strictly a lubricant for about $5, & another one that also increases
cetane & demulsifies water for about $6. Cheap enough not to take a
chance of damaging the injectors & hight pressure pump

My guess is that the John Deere dealerships will be the first to know.
Landscapers put more hours per year on their equipment than sailors do
in a lifetime. Many are three cyl. Yanmars.
