Tony,
I just replaced my 4Ds. Our boats are of the same vintage, I'm hull #4.
I've had my boat for 4 years and I know the batteries were already a
couple years old when I bought the boat. Sounds similar to your
situation.
I could really tell last season on overnighters that they were
running down faster than before. We did a load test and made the call.
I got my new ones at Battery Warehouse. They were the identical
batteries to the ones I replaced, and were EACH $40 cheaper than West
Marine's price.
