[C320-list] Jumpstart power booster for engine starting

>From discussions here and with others, adding a dedicated starting battery seems to make sense and is something I plan to do as a mid-term project. Having a way of starting the engine that is isolated from other current draws, together with the differing current (and charging) requirements for engine starting and hotel loads both point to the need for a separate starting battery. In the short term, however, I was thinking of carrying one of the “power booster” batteries sometimes used to jumpstart cars. They are relatively cheap, lightweight, often have their own built in trickle charger and seem like a reasonable way to address the issue of inadvertently drained house batteries. Has anyone used one of these to start their C320 (Yanmar) engine?
