[C320-list] Mature Hot Water Heaters

I am asking this question for a friend who is not on the list.  They just
bought the boat and are wading through years of backed-up maintenance.

 

For the more mature boats, what kind of hot water heater did they come with
- make and model number?  Did they only heat through the engine?  If they
heated through shore power, where is the on/off switch (theirs is not on the
instrument panel)?  The boat I am asking on behalf of is hull #184.  Thank
