If it's your first time in Catalina you might want to check out the "Two
Harbors Boating Guide" at www.visitcatalinaisland.com/twoharbors , also
there is alot of good info on moorings and the various coves and harbors.

Enjoy the island,

Subject: [C320-list] Anchor recommendations

We're planning our first trip to Catalina Island off LA in our 320. We have
a 22 lb danforth with 50 feet of chain and 250 of 3/8 inch nylon rode. We
also have an 11# aluminum Fortress anchor with 150' of nylon rode as a
secondary. We'd eventually like to explore the other channel islands and I'm
looking for some opinions on anchors and tips for cruising catalina from
anyone who has cruised in this area.

ThanksCrosby Roper, VMD
