[C320-list] Genoa Mid Ship Track Cleat

The one thing that tying up the way I do (with pretied lines and eye splices
passed through the cleats and around the horns) does allow is quick placing
of the lines at docking or quick removing of lines when undocking. That's
why I do it that way. Unless the water is out so far that the boat is
hanging by the cleats, or the cross wind so high that you cannot gain a
little slack (in which case you are unlikely to get boat in or out of the
slip), getting the lines off the cleats is fast. Just my opinion.

Each boat owner should do whatever he wants. My original point was simply
that the Garhauer cleat appears from the picture to not allow passing the
eye splice through the cleat and then around the horns for a very secure
attachment of the line to the cleat, in the event that anyone might want to
use this technique. (Incidently, Chapman's illustration 6-25 in latest
edition shows it this way along with the words that it is the most secure
way to attach the eye to the cleat). The more expensive Schaefer cleat
allows such a placement.
