Crashley
thanks very much for your detailed response.I spent today (Saturday,
downUnder) trying to fix same. No Luck.
I managed to SHORT out the instruments ... panic ... fortunately discovered
the Reset switch under the Pod... smiles again.
-----------------------------
It seems weird, but
WHEN THE TURNED IGNITION IS ON (Yanmar diesel has not been started)
the Yanmar Sender will NOT ground ... I get no Alarm and the Light for the
Low Oil Pressure does not come on
..........when I switch the Sender lead to Ground out (on another part of
the engine) ALARM AND LOP Light comes On ...
BUT the Alarm and Lights will not go OFF when engine is running.
---------------------------
Still stumps me ... guess that explains why I am more of an Artist and less
of an Electrician ;0)
BTW Ships Batteries are fully charge.
--------------------------
We are Sailing tomorrow and socialising as well.
I think Monday is my next chance to look at it.
I will check the Intervox BRP4535S-12-CD (a 12V unit) for being 12V.
Thanks too, for the Web Address for the Part

Cheers and Happy Sailing
