I installed a telescoping three-section Forespar pole stored on the forward
port stanchion/pulpit using brackets supplied by the company. When in use it
connects to a sliding fitting which click locks along a track I installed on
the mast by drilling and tapping holes. Inexpensive and simple.

 

Note that when stored the pole never seems to be in the way.
