[C320-list] Water heater leak

I have a small but steady drip at the water heater and I can't find  
exactly where. I can't feel moisture at any of the fittings but there  
is a drip running down the hull beneath the water heater. The heater  
seems to have a metal casing, would this hide drips at a fitting?  
There is water on the platform it is mounted on.
