[C320-list] ST 4000 Problems

Alan, did this just start happening or has it always done this?  If a new
issue, it may well be your fluxgate compass.  If not, check to be sure the
AP is not powered from a 12V source in the engine pod.  It should have a
clean feed from a circuit breaker or fuse.  If the current source for the AP
incurs a sudden drop, the AP will reset just as though it was just turned
on.

Where is the fluxgate located on the early boats (hull 67, 1994)?  Mine
autopilot acts up when the engine is turned on while the autopilot is
engaged. The autopilot then just veers off course and begins to steer in
random directions far off the set heading.  The autopilot is not networked
with any other device, so I'll start by looking at the fluxgate.  Alan
