[C320-list] Charleston Spar Mainsail RF problem.

This fall part of my winterization was to remove the mainsail, fold it and 
take it home.  In addition to taking the mainsail down it looks like part of 
the roller furling hardware from the top of the mast dropped to the bottom 
of the mast.  A cell phone picture of the part in the mast is here:

As you can see it is a plastic ring with some hardware on it that is around 
the worm type drive that operates the mainsail reefing.

Does anyone have any experience with this happening?  The mast and reefing 
is Charleston Spars.

Any insight would be appreciated.
