Herb,
I remeasured and the 9-5/8" is correct on my 1995 model. I could easily gain another 3/4" on the top by cutting or routing out the top trim board. I would do that and possibly have some choice of brands and probably a better quality unit with more power.

Either Myron is wrong or Catalina modified later boats, mine is a 99', the height dimension was 9-7/8", not the 9-5/8" that Myron reported for his boat. Still the smallest height microwave I can fine is 10-1/8", too tall. I will go to some local stores that advertise this size to see if removing the rubber feet will make it work. I can replace them with thinner pads so that there is still air circulation beneath. If that does not work may consider getting the one I have repaired but certainly don't know where to go to have that done. The one on the boat now, which is a replacement for the original, is a Tappen, only 9-1/2" HIGH.

Don't recall if I removed the rubber feet on the last replacement? This means I will have to go to the boat today after all. Too bad.
