You will likely get a more technical answer from others, but it is not a
good practice to use your domestic water supply for the loilet flushing
source. There are reported to be some isolation devices, but the
conservative approach is to use a dedicated pump and water source. That
means you need to add a tank and a pump. See the plumbing diagrams on the
raritan site or a similar alternative. This would get a bit more
complicated if you connect to dock pressure water as opposed to manually
fill your tanks when low.

The immediate solution is to add water by hand with a bottle or with the
shower head. But making the head operation simple helps everyone to feel
comfortable. Consequently, the dedicated system is recommended to achieve
what approaches to be normal operation. The alternative is to use raw
water, but to flush it all through with fresh at the end of the day or when
leaving the boat for more than a day. We installed an electric with the
original raw water source and flush out the waste line before leaving the
boat. The more use your head gets, the more likely you will want to
upgrade to a system with a fresh water source. YMMV - Pat, Cherie, 801
